Meanwhile, authors who used AI to brainstorm, draft, edit, or translate are left with no one to publish their work — even when the manuscript is strong.

NX takes a different position. AI is a tool, not an authorship question. If a human directed the creative vision, made the editorial decisions, and owns the final work — that’s an author. The Copyright Office agrees: human creative control makes a work copyrightable, regardless of the tools involved.

We don’t require AI disclosure as a gatekeeping mechanism. We don’t run detection software. We evaluate manuscripts the same way we evaluate any submission: is the writing good, is the story compelling, and does it have an audience?

What authors ask us.

Does NX accept fully AI-generated manuscripts?
NX publishes work where a human author directed the creative vision and made the editorial decisions. A manuscript generated entirely by AI with no meaningful human creative control isn’t something we’d publish — not because of a policy stance, but because it typically doesn’t meet our quality bar. If you used AI heavily in the process but shaped every decision, that’s a different story.
Do I need to disclose that I used AI?
We don’t require disclosure as part of our evaluation process. We don’t run detection software. Some distribution platforms like Amazon KDP require disclosure of AI-generated content at upload — NX handles that as part of our distribution workflow.
Can I copyright a book written with AI assistance?
Yes. The U.S. Copyright Office has established that works created with AI tools are copyrightable when a human author exercises meaningful creative control. Using AI for drafting, editing, brainstorming, or translation doesn’t affect your copyright — the same way using Grammarly or hiring a ghostwriter doesn’t.
What genres does NX publish?
NX publishes fiction and nonfiction across genres. Our owned imprints focus on literary suspense (VeilHouse) and strategic nonfiction (AWH), but our author acquisition arm is open to strong work in any category with a demonstrable audience.
How do I submit a manuscript to NX?
Send us a pitch through the inquiry form on our homepage — a logline, a brief summary, and where the book stands. If we’re interested, we’ll request the manuscript.
What makes NX different from self-publishing on Amazon KDP?
KDP is a tool — you upload a file and it’s available for sale. NX is a partner. We provide editing, cover art, distribution across multiple platforms, a dedicated author site, social media management, bookstore outreach, and licensing packaging. You write. We do everything else, at zero upfront cost.
